Should I book direct?

Yes, when you book direct through our hotel website or via our reservations team, you’ll not only receive our Best Available Rate, but extra perks like 1pm early check in and 1pm late checkout, plus access to our exclusive packages that you can learn more about here.

 

What is Chippendale like as an area?

Chippendale is a vibrant and cultural inner-city Sydney suburb. Home to many art galleries, most notably White Rabbit and bordering suburbs Surry Hills, Redfern and Newtown, it is centrally located to many cafes, restaurants, bars, pubs and shopping districts.

 

What transport is available around Chippendale?

Chippendale is in a convenient 5-minute walk to Central Station and Railway Square which connects to all major transports including the Airport Link. We offer Sydney’s public transport service Opal cards for guests to borrow from Reception.

 

How far is The Old Clare Hotel from Circular Quay?

The fastest route to Circular Quay is to walk to Central Station, where trains depart regularly. Alternately, it is a 45-minute walk down Pitt or George Streets past many shopping centres.

 

Is The Old Clare Hotel pet friendly?   

Yes, the hotel has designated pet friendly rooms. Check availability and book in via our reservations team.

 

Is there parking available at The Old Clare Hotel?

Yes, we offer valet parking for both hotel guests and visitors. 0-4 hours is $35, 4-24 hours is $50.

 

Is the rooftop bar open to the public?

Yes the bar is open to the public, however swimming is reserved for in-house guests only or those who book the venue exclusively for private events.

 

Does The Old Clare Hotel offer restaurant discounts at partnered venues?

Yes, in-house guests receive a 20% discount when they dine in at A1 Canteen and Automata. To receive the discount, ensure you charge your meal back to the room and settle when checking out.

 

What time is check in and check out?

For those who book direct check-in and check-out time is 1pm. For those who book via any other channels, check-in is 3pm and check-out is 11am.

 

Is The Old Clare Hotel taking Covid19 safety precautions?

Yes, The Old Clare Hotel is committed to ensuring the safety of all hotel guests and staff. Rooms are completely sanitised, including all linen and towels and left out of service for 24 hours between guests. There is sanitiser available in all public areas of the building and guests are encouraged to partake each time they enter the building. All payments must be made via credit card to avoid the handling of cash.  Anyone entering the premises must be signed up to the Covidsafe app and provide contact details. The bars are following all social distancing measures and spacing tables accordingly.

 

Does The Old Clare Hotel offer room service?

Yes, we offer a take-away style room service catered by A1 Canteen.

 

Does The Old Clare Hotel have a gym?

Yes, we have a 24-hour gym facility onsite for hotel guests to use at their leisure.

 

Does The Old Clare Hotel offer gift vouchers?

Yes, The Old Clare Hotel offers gift vouchers that can be purchased through the hotel website.

 

Does The Old Clare Hotel offer spa services?

Yes, The Old Clare Hotel can arrange in-room spa services for hotel guests. Please enquire with our reservations team or reception.

 

Are airport transfers available?
