The Old Clare rooftop pool and bar was designed to be more than a space to forget about the day to day by looking down on the city. We see it as an opportunity to gain a different viewpoint, and we like to think a little perspective always helps.
Being on a rooftop in the middle of the city is a great way to escape the clamour of a city by settling in above the skyline. Even more so when you get to marry urban landscapes with nature. Chippendale is home to one of the largest green walls in the world, One Central Park. Its vertiginous vertical garden makes for a pretty epic scenery.
This unusual cocktail of greenery and industrial buildings is the backdrop for our rooftop. Once you’ve soaked up the view and got all the feels, grab a drink and relax. Set under a glass canopy, our rooftop is perfectly sheltered so you can sit at the bar and enjoy cocktails all year round, or grab a cushion and sit along the edge of the pool out in the sunshine. Swimming is reserved for our guests but the rooftop bar is open to the public, would be rude not to share.
